MAJOR NEWS:  DJ PERFORMANCES AT 3316!

Going into 2008, I had a feeling that I was about to undergo a time of tremendous change.

Apparently, God (or fate, take your pick) saw it fit that things get crackin' right off the bat.

Yesterday, a friend found me online and told me about a local restaurant/lounge that needed a DJ.

I went by and interviewed this evening, and the interview went spectacularly.

The place looks really nice; it has a decent bar and some really impressive food selections.  On top of that, the staff really seemed nice too.

It's important to note that this will NOT be like the DJ Badger performances that I've normally done before.  These will not feature a light show, and although dancing is encouraged, there really is no dancing expected.  Essentially, I will be providing the background music for the late dinner crowd, up through the late-night lounge time.

Most of the music will be along the lines of Portishead, Morcheeba, Jette-Ives, Massive Attack, etc.  However, there will be a little bit of uptempo classic house thrown in - think of stuff like Inner City, Maurice, a Guy Called Gerald, M People, Gabrielle, etc.

I would love to see a packed house there, eating lots of great food and enjoying the vibe.  If these two evenings go well, there is a good chance that this will become a regular or semi-regular Friday-and-Saturday gig for me.  So, even if you can't make it, wish me luck in your minds.  :)
