A
new DJ Badger appearance (not quite a DJ gig).
Okay...
I can't make this post very long. I have been up re-watching bits
of Cloverfield and messing around online. I should be
going to bed soon.
On
SATURDAY, MAY 10TH, I will be performing the light show only
for the Novachild/Tech Tronic performance at the Continental in downtown
Tulsa.
For
those who are not familiar, Novachild is Bruce Rich, a friend of mine
for a few years here in Tulsa. Bruce and I have had a number of
strange coincidences between us. For instance, we both took Neddra
Knox to a prom, we both had stints on the Edge of Insanity (EOI).
He's one of the most laid-back guys I know - extremely friendly and
overall really cool.
Novachild
specializes in ambient electronic music, though he has also done some
uptempo work as well. I would say that some of his downtempo pieces
are a bit reminiscent of Aphex Twin or Jim Ether.
I
am not as familiar with Tech Tronic's work, but from what I have heard,
I like their stuff. They are a Tulsa-based electronic duo who
pride themselves in doing genuine live electronic performances.
I'm
not sure what portions of my light show I will be bringing to this gig
(it won't be my entire arsenal), nor do I know when it begins or how
much the cover charge is going to be. However, if you dig electronic
music, then you should keep the night of May 10th free for the show.
Odds are it'll be quite sick, as the kids say these days. (That's
good.)
Good
night.
