Happy
new year... BOOMBOX event coming Jan 31st!
Well,
we're past 2008 now. I'm very thankful for that. I'll try
to elabourate further at a later time, but 2008 had some ups and a few
downs, and frankly I'm hoping 2009 goes even better. Happy new
year.
The
main reason I needed to post this is to alert everyone of a special
event coming up called BoomBox. It's not an event that I'm hosting,
nor one that I'm DJing. In fact, you won't even find me mentioned
on the flyer. But, I am involved (see below), and it's important
that as many people show up as possible.

BoomBox
is a special benefit event for the daughter of one of my colleagues,
Chris SKER (the fellow who's been organizing the event). Chris
has a little girl who is suffering from a rare childhood disease called
Juvenile Dermato Myositis (aka JDM or JM). The disease has caused
her considerable discomfort and an extensive hospital stay, and she
still needs to undergo regular treatment. (Please click here

Obviously, medical bills for rare childhood illnesses are not cheap,
and the proceeds from this event are going to help with those medical
expenses for this very special little girl.
If
I didn't tell you anything further about the event, I would hope that
you would consider coming to it just for that reason alone.
However,
even if you didn't know the proceeds were benefitting a sick little
girl... BoomBox would still be well worth attending for $10. BoomBox
will be the final party thrown by the UAT crew, who have been responsible
for throwing huge parties around Oklahoma for the past 15 years.
The event will have a slew of talented DJs, including DJ Moody, DJ Chron,
Ed Crunk, DJ Love from Dallas, and D.J.P from Las Vegas. (I've
listened to some of D.J.P's turntablist stuff online and it is indeed
very, very impressive.) The whole thing is scheduled to be hosted
by Lu Foxxx from the Eye Candy Burlesque crew. So, all in all,
it's got a very solid lineup.
So,
how do I fit into the picture? I'm going to be providing some
of my high-tech light effects, and for the first time at any event,
I'm going to be unleashing my new green lasers. So, visually,
this shindig is going to be amazing as well. According to the
advertisements, BoomBox will also feature free CDs, body art models,
and more.
The
main point of all this: BoomBox is going to be a huge event.
So,
please, mark your calendar for the night of Saturday, January 31st and
come experience BoomBox in all its glory. Do it for me... or if
you can't do it for me, then do it for a very special little girl who
could really use your help.
