Has it really been thirty years since that March Wednesday?

Thirty years ago today, a young lady did her best to prove to me that being in love probably wasn't worth the pain, and putting the investment into trusting anyone fully was a mistake.

Already pushed to the breaking point of stress in my first year of college, I had an emotional breakdown.  I was a different person before that day.

Have I been hurt since then?  Yes.  Worse?  Oh, yes.  Let's just say... when it came to certain subjects, I was a slow learner.

But... I'm still standing, I'm quite proud of the person I am, and success is the best revenge.
