Good evening, everyone.  Badger here, kicking back watching Comedy Central while enjoying a mojito I made with some excellent vanilla rum.  I might do some music production in a bit.  We'll see.

Here's a saddening fact.

One year ago, my mom was admitted into the intensive care unit.  My dad and I were informed by one of the doctors that my mom's lungs weren't processing the oxygen correctly.  I was surprised she survived the night.  She passed away 12 days after her admission.

That's been on my mind a lot today.  I even drove out and saw my dad.  I shudder to think what kind of a basket case I'm going to be on July 30th.

Long ago, I told myself that I wouldn't post pictures of my son X on this site (without sufficient face-blocking), but then on his first birthday I ended up posting a few amateur pics from his birthday party.

Well, I recently purchased the licensing to reproduce (on a non-commercial basis) the professionally-shot photographs of my son that we had taken for his first birthday.  So, I've decided to share one of them here.  This is one of my favourite pictures of X so far.

Isn't he incredible?  When I'm trying to figure out how to fight my way through the day (while I'm at work, or otherwise), he gives me a reason to keep on going.  Words can't describe how much I love this kid.  X=Awesomeness.
