A long-devoted fan and collector...DJ Badger, March 2009

The enigmatic DJ TMJ has been involved in DJing since 1995.  TMJ (yes, named after the jaw disorder) is somewhat reclusive and rarely comes out to actively DJ, preferring instead to work "behind the scenes" on production and remixing most of time.

TMJ's first meeting with Badger was at a 1994 EKG Mobile Music event.  The two discussed the "Edge of Insanity" radio programme and the conversation immediately moved to Depeche Mode.  The two found out that they were kindred spirits, and soon became each other's "gotta call first" guy whenever they heard new Depeche Mode news.

In 2003, when Badger finally released his first electronica single, "The Other Side of the Fence," TMJ was the first person chosen to produce a remix.  DJ TMJ's Force of Industry Remix of the follow-up single, "Gypsy Drama," is considered by Badger to be the best remix of his work to date.

At this Depeche Mode party, TMJ is planning on playing a number of his own personal remixes/mash-ups.  He has produced remixes of tracks by other artists such as Nine Inch Nails, Chemical Brothers, Frou Frou, and Venus Hum.  A number of his remixes can be found on his ACIDPlanet profile here, as well as on his MySpace profile here.

DJ TMJ has seen Depeche Mode perform time four times (1993, 1998, 2001, 2005) and has been collecting their music for over 15 years.  He currently lives somewhere in northeast Oklahoma with his wife and two rather hyperactive dogs.  He is currently working on a forthcoming debut album, the details of which are tightly under wraps.

[Favourite Depeche Mode songs:  "The Sinner in Me," "To Have and To Hold," "Condemnation," "Halo," "I Am You."]
