SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 27TH:
 BADGER
Tulsa's DJ Badger has been actively DJing for over twenty-five
years, earning the respect of party crowds and his peers with
his enduring old-school approach to performing. Badger
still prefers to mix using genuine vinyl on turntables (with
CDs when necessary), without a laptop. He has been featured
on the main stages of 80s Prom and
That 90s Party (twice each), as
well as at ResurXtion, SRO Remix,
The Great Gypsy Chillout, Retro
Without Shame, the Tulsa Vinyl Society's Vinyl
Brunch, and lots more. He is the organizer
of Tulsa's An Old School Techno Night, An Old
School House Night, and Pop in a Blender
events.
Some
may recognize Badger as a member of the infamous "Edge
of Insanity" alternative radio crew in the early 1990s.
He has also worked as a music journalist, with a regular remix
review column in the nationally-published Karaoke and
DJ USA magazine in the late 1990s. In addition,
he is the former manager/DJ of EKG Pro Mobile Music and the
current owner/DJ of Tulsa's Awesome Retro DJ Service.
Badger
is considered one of the foremost Depeche Mode collectors
in this part of the country. He is also an obsessive
collector of games for the Atari 2600 and a spectacular cook.

We
at Nitro/Gen are honoured to present our
special guest DJ for February, Tulsa's DJ Vixx.
Over the last six years, Vixx has built a reputation for her
fun attitude and her unorthodox, anything-goes approach to
DJing... so she is obviously going to be a great fit for a
Nitro/Gen party! She is a longstanding
fixture in the Tulsa goth community and half of the acclaimed
industrial duo Axis.
Vixx's
experiences have taken her on journeys to OKC and Fayetteville,
with appearances at Goth Prom, Haven,
Zombie Prom, Sci Fi
Horror Weekend, Underground Horror
Con, Darkness Resurrected,
WizardWorld ComicCon, Tulsa
Comic Expo, Tokyo in Tulsa,
and more.
She
is also the co-owner of Tulsa's Black Box Subscriptions
service and Tulsa Obscura, a fantastic shop
of oddities located just west of 15th and Harvard.
We
have a feeling that Vixx is going to feel
right at home on the Nitro/Gen stage, and we are really looking
forward to hearing some extraordinary sets from her!
