Last-minute
news! I'm playing a two-song set at Mixtape Wednesday, TOMORROW.

 Okay,
I'd been meaning to post about this a bit earlier, but for various reasons,
didn't.
So,
there's a place called the Crystal Pistol downtown, a bit to the
right of Cain's Ballroom. Every Wednesday night, they have an
event called "Mixtape Wednesday," at which DJs Robbo and Lynn
K have special guests come out and basically play random stuff.
Well,
as a special one-year anniversary treat, they have opened the schedule
up to allow anyone to play two - count 'em, two - songs.
That
night is tomorrow. I've signed up.
So,
yes, this will be my shortest set ever. TWO songs. Total.
That's it. I could get used to that. Only playing two songs
will give me plenty of time to socialize! :) (The
guy who ran "True Faith"
would feel right at home at this event! Ha!)
In
all sincerity, this sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
So,
for the last week, I've been pondering: If I could only play two
songs at an event, what would I choose to play?
Would
I include Depeche Mode? Would I prefer to play two non-DM tracks?
Would I play something that would make the crowd go nuts, or rather
include something amazing that nobody had ever heard before? Would
I play something that I myself produced?
Even
I'm not 100% sure of what I'm going to be playing tomorrow night.
I have a decent idea, though.
If
you want to find out first-hand, Mixtape Wednesday at the Crystal Pistol
will be starting at 8:20 PM tomorrow night. I will be one of MANY
individuals DJing, and I don't know exactly when I'm going on.
Two
songs. Only two songs. Wish me luck.
