In June of this year, I celebrated ten years since my first visit to the Gypsy Coffee House.  It is one of Tulsa's greatest havens for artists, poets, musicians, and other creative minds.

I love the Gypsy.

Over the years, I - usually accompanied by my colleague DJ TMJ - have had the privilege of performing at the Gypsy on numerous occasions.  It's an optimal venue for a performance like this... and that's why I came up with the original Great Gypsy Chillout in 2010.

The Gypsy is located at 303 N. Cincinnati in the Brady Arts District of Tulsa.   If you've never been there but you know your way around downtown Tulsa, then the easiest way to describe its location is "behind Spaghetti Warehouse."

If you know how to get to Cain's Ballroom...  the Gypsy is two blocks to the east.

If you get on I-244 and take the Cincinnati exit... just go south a mere couple of blocks and the Gypsy will be on your left.  You can't miss the place.

To make things even easier for you, here's a simple map to the Gypsy.

"Welcome To the Gypsy" painting at the Gypsy Coffee HouseThe Gypsy does not serve alcohol... but it is what I like to call "stumbling distance" from a few renowned downtown bars, so if you feel the need to "get your drink on" before arriving, feel free to do so (responsibly, of course).

Once at the Gypsy, however, I encourage you to purchase some food or a beverage.  My personal recommendations are the coconut creme soda (with extra coconut), the Colombian spicy hot chocolate, and the Jail House Grilled Cheese (formerly known as the Jail House Three Cheese) with chips and a side of ranch.
